Car
Reading’s testing venue is located within Greyfriars House on Greyfriars Road, just north of the town centre. However, please note that you must use the ‘Highline’ building entrance to access the Life in the UK testing area, which is actually located on adjacent Garrard Street. Greyfriars House is just off the A329, which merges into the A33 heading towards the M4 motorway. This is the main access route towards Reading town centre.
Parking
There is limited on-street parking on Greyfriars Street, however there can be no guarantee that space will be available on test day. Therefore, we would recommend having alternative parking arrangements in mind.
Reading Train Station Car Park is conveniently located just over 300m north of Greyfriars House, charging a parking rate of £4.00 per hour. To pay at this site, you’ll either need cash, or access to the APOCOA customer service line. Disabled parking is accommodated at this site. To access the test venue from here, exit the car park by turning right onto Belgrave Street and continue west. Use Station Road to turn right onto Garrard Street, and progress westbound to the test centre.

Bus
There are multiple operational bus routes in close proximity to the venue. If taking advantage of Reading’s local bus network, please target arrival, if possible, at one of the following bus stops:
Greyfriars Road, Friar Street, West Street, or Cheapside. All of these destinations are within a five-minute walk of Greyfriars House.

Train
There are several train stations in Reading, with the largest incidentally also the closest to the test site. Reading Train Station, as previously mentioned in the earlier parking notes, is situated around 300m from the venue. Therefore, for onwards travel instructions to Greyfriars House, please consult the guidance given above.
