If driving, please be aware that the venue is easily accessible from the A60. There are limited parking options nearby, but most are free of charge. We’ve selected two local facilities that may be of use.
Duke Street
Please be aware that there are only 14 parking spaces available at this site, therefore, so make sure you have a backup option in case there are no available spaces at the time of parking (see below). This car park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. There are no parking charges.
For onwards travel to the venue, please head southwest on Gawthorne Street and continue in this direction on Beech Avenue. On approaching the end of Beech Avenue, you’ll be able to find the test centre across the road on the opposite side of Sherwood Rise. Total journey time will be approximately 8 minutes.
Selhurst Street
Again, this site is open all day, every day, and you will not be charged any fees for parking here. Although there is more space for vehicles to park, there are less than 25 additional spaces here. And, unfortunately, there are no other car parks/on-street parking options within a realistic walking distance to the venue.
Please note that electronic vehicle charging facilities are in operation at this facility.
The test centre is roughly 2km away, on a route that will take roughly 19 minutes to navigate. From Selhurst Street, progress east on Berridge Road until its conclusion. Please then turn left onto Sherwood Rise, and continue northbound until you reach the venue. Unfortunately, from this location, there is no appropriate bus service that has scheduled stops close to the test site.
Bus
There are a number of bus routes that pass near the testing venue. We’ve highlighted two of the main services below.
- 17: The number 17 operates between Nottingham city centre and Bulwell, travelling north or south depending on where the service starts. If using this route, please exit at Ebury Road. To reach the venue from here, simply head westbound on Ebury Road, turn right at the road end, and progress up Sherwood Rise towards the test centre.
- Calverton service: This bus heads northeast/southwest between Nottingham and Calverton. Please leave the bus at Hucknall Road stop, which is roughly 650m from the test site. Head west on New Street, then continue in the same direction along Hamilton Road. At the end of the road, turn right onto Sherwood Rise. Advance northbound until the venue comes into view on your right-hand side.
For reference, numbers 70, 71, and 69 all operate between Nottingham and destinations further north. All have stops within reasonable walking distance of the test centre. Detail on these services, along with alternative public transport options, can be found at this webpage.
Train
Nottingham has a local tram line in operation, which connects the city centre to surrounding areas. The closest tram station to the venue is situated in Bulwell, which is just over 4km away. This is perhaps a little too far to walk, but this journey can be easily navigated by bus.
On exiting the tram station, head up Station Road and onto Main Street. Here, you’ll find a bus stop next to Bulwell Market. Catch the aforementioned 69 service heading southbound to Nottingham. Exit at the Health Centre on Nottingham Road, then progress 100m southbound, where the venue will be on your left-hand side.

Nottingham Train Station is located on the southside of Nottingham city centre, and is therefore far away from New Basford. However, there is public transport heading towards the venue. Locate the bus stop directly outside the station, and then catch the 11C Nottingham service. After five minutes, leave this bus at the Victoria Centre. Advance northbound for three minutes, heading for the bus stop outside Curry’s PC World computer store. Take the number 69 bus to the Health Centre, and walk to the test site for a minute or so.
