Directions

Car

Maidstone’s testing venue is located within Kestrel House, located on Knightrider Court, just to the south of Maidstone town centre. The M20 motorway passes just north of the town but provides good connecting routes via the A249, A229, and A20. Please be aware that although the Kestrel House building is positioned on Knightrider Court, its formal address is denoted as Knightrider Street. Knightrider Court sits adjacent to Knightrider Street.

Parking

There is ample on-site parking at the test centre, therefore, it’s unlikely you will require the services of a local car park. However, if this is necessary, please visit the relevant Parkopedia page for alternative parking options.

Bus

There are numerous bus routes that pass in close proximity to the test site. If taking advantage of Maidstone’s local bus network, we would encourage you, if possible, to target arrival at one of the following bus stops:

Lower Stone Street, College Avenue, or Crompton Gardens. All of these destinations are within a six-minute walk of Kestrel House. It’s also worth noting that Maidstone Bus Station is situated just 500m north of the test venue.

To plan your personal journey, please click the following link, and scroll down to the ‘bus lines’ section.

Train

There are several train stations in Maidstone, with Maidstone West the closest to Knightrider Court. The station is approximately one kilometre west of the venue, but there are unfortunately no appropriate connecting bus services to help navigate this distance. Therefore, if travelling by train, you’ll need to conduct the onwards journey on foot (or taxi!).

If walking to Kestrel House from the station, head east using Hart Street and Barker Road, before crossing the River Medway. Continue east on Old College Horseway, before merging onto Knightrider Street, and progressing towards the test venue on Knightrider Court. This journey should take roughly ten minutes to conduct.

For live departure & arrivals, station facilities, and accessibility information, please visit the South Eastern Railway website.
