Directions

Car

Luton, located just north of London, is serviced by connections from the M1 and A6. The test site itself resides in the north-western outskirts of Luton, approximately 2.5km from the town centre. The Business and Education Centre, which hosts the Life in the UK Test, is positioned on Leagrave Road, next door to the Lucky House Chinese restaurant.

Unfortunately, nearby parking options are limited. There is limited on-site parking available, but this cannot be guaranteed before arrival. Beech Hill and Birch Link car parks, the closest to the test centre, are two-hour maximum stay facilities. This does not permit enough time to locate the venue, conduct your test, and return to your vehicle.

The closest viable car park is situated on Crawley Road. However, this is over 2km away. If you’re comfortable with this journey, please click this link for detailed car park information. Please note that a connecting bus service can be taken from Kenilworth Road, which is roughly a five-minute walk away from Crawley Road car park (head up Crawley Road then turn left onto Moor Street. Turn right for Kenilworth Road at the first junction). This is the number 27 Marsh Farm service, which will drop you directly outside the test site.

Bus

There is one main bus route that passes the test venue, the aforementioned number 27. If using this service, please once again exit at Millfield Road bus stop, which is just 20m away from the Business and Education Centre.

If using an alternative service whose route operates in the surrounding area, please aim for either Tudor Road or Saxon Road bus stops. These are both within a ten-minute walk of the test site, located just to the south of the venue.

Train

Luton Train Station is located around 2.5km from the test site, and therefore not within a realistic walking distance. If you do feel comfortable heading on foot, then please cut through Bury Park, and join Leagrave Road. From here, it’s a long, straight, 1.5km walk to the venue.

Alternatively, you could once again take advantage of the 27 Marsh Farm service, this time taking the bus from Silver Street. This bus stop is located adjacently to Luton Mall, around an eight-minute walk from the train station.

Luton Train Station is easily accessible from most parts of the country. For guidance on live departure and arrival times, as well as station facilities and general information, please visit the Thames Link Railway website, located here.
