The test venue is located in the Foleshill area of the city, heading north away from Coventry city centre. The A444, which runs along the city’s eastern perimeter, connects to roads heading directly towards the test centre. The test site is situated on Lockhurst Lane.

Unfortunately, there are limited parking options in close proximity to the venue. However, the two closest parking facilities are free of charge. Please be aware that the combined capacity of these two sites is just 60 vehicles, and there are no realistic alternative parking sites in the local area. Therefore, it might be worth considering whether using public transport could reduce the risk of arriving late.

Holmsdale Road

As mentioned, there is free parking in operation at this on-street destination. Disabled spaces are available.

The venue is around an eight-minute walk from Holmsdale Road. Head west onto Livingstone Road, progress to the end of the road, and then turn left onto the B4118. From here, continue southbound towards Lockhurst Lane.

Cromwell Street

Again, this is a free parking area. This site is approximately 1km away from the testing venue. Please head northbound towards Red House Park, before turning left onto St. Pauls Road. Follow this road all the way through to the B4113. Use Pridmore Road to head east onto Lockhurst Lane, and then advance northbound to the test centre. This journey will take roughly 13 minutes to navigate.

Please note that there are no appropriate bus services heading towards the venue from this destination. If you are comfortable undertaking a long journey from the car park to the test centre, you can discover potential options using the Parkopedia platform.

Bus

There are multiple bus services that travel in close proximity of the test venue. We’ve selected three of the main routes that will enable you to gain nearby access to Lockhurst Lane. These are the number 20,3, and 58 bus services.

20: The number 20 operates between Coventry city centre and Nuneaton, travelling in a north–south direction. If using this service, please exit at Old Church Street stop. There is then a relatively long onwards journey to the venue. If walking, undertake the lengthy, southbound walk down Foleshill Road, before heading east on Livingstone Road, and then south towards the test centre. This route should take around 19 minutes to complete.

Alternatively, you could take the 20B Coventry bus towards Station Street, heading from the bus stop on the opposite side of the road. After exiting at Station Street stop, the test site is a 500m, south-westerly walk from this location. Opting for the bus will shave around seven minutes of your onward journey time from Old Church Road.

3: This service heads between University Hospital Coventry in the east of the city, up to the Arena Shopping Park on Coventry’s northern outskirts. Please exit at Drake Street bus stop. This stop is positioned directly outside the test centre.

58: This bus originates on Torrington Avenue in the west, and heads eastbound into Coventry city centre. Again, please exit at Drake Street bus stop.

Train

There are two local train stations that may be of potential use. Coventry Arena Train Station acts as a ‘satellite’ station, offering services to destinations in Coventry’s surrounding areas. Coventry’s main station, located on the south side of the city, welcomes trains from all over the country. However, both are a considerable distance from Lockburst Lane.

Coventry Arena station is 2.7km away, and is therefore a little too far to realistic walk to the test site. However, connecting travel is relatively straightforward. From the bus stop situated outside of Coventry Arena, take the number 3 Binley service to Drake Street (again, this stop sits adjacent to the venue). This is an eleven-minute journey.

The distance from Coventry Station is a little greater, registering at around 3.5km. It is possible to take a connecting service up to Coventry Arena, but it is far more efficient to head to the test centre by bus. The Rail Station Bridge bus stop is a short, four-minute walk away, and can be accessed by turning left at the station exit, and heading southbound on the A429 for approximately 50m.

The 9 Platinum Electric service will take you up to Well Street. From here, walk northbound for 120m, and arrive at the Corporation Street bus stop. Please then catch the 20A Walsgrave service, and exit at Courtaulds Way, before heading northbound up Folsehill Road towards Lockhurst Lane.
