Car
Blackburn’s testing venue is located within Kings Court on King Street, just on the western outskirts of the town centre. The M65 passes Blackburn to the south, with the A666 and A678 offering good connecting routes from the motorway towards the town centre. Although the test centre address is registered as King Street, Kings Court building entrance is actually situated on Old Bank Street.
Parking
There is limited on-street parking available directly outside the building on Heaton Street, but there is no guarantee that you’ll be able to secure a space on your test day. Nevertheless, there are several appropriate parking options nearby, with King Street itself perhaps the most convenient option. A two-hour parking ticket will cost £2.10, which will provide ample time to head to the venue, conduct your exam, and then return to your vehicle. Please note that parking machines will accept either card or cash payment.
For alternative parking sites, please head to the relevant Parkopedia page, available here.
Bus
There are multiple bus routes which pass in close proximity to the test centre. If taking advantage of a service facilitated by Blackburn’s local bus network, please aim to arrive, if possible, at one of the following bus stops:
Harrison Street, Blackburn College, or Barton Street. All of these stops are within five-minute walking distance of Old Bank Street.
Train
Blackburn Train Station is located at the opposite end of the town centre, around 650m east of the venue. To access the test site from here, head west through the heart of the shopping district before merging onto Darwen Street. Continue west, advancing onto King Street and on then progressing on towards the venue.
